Pikl, an InsurTech Corridor participant which offers specialist insurance for holiday homeowners, hosts and businesses, has announced a partnership with Prestige Underwriting.
The collaboration, that has the backing of Aviva, will integrate Pikl’s existing UK managing general agent capacity for specialized vacation and short-term rental insurance into the broader facility.
Tailored for both individual homeowners and property managers, Pikl’s products mitigate risks associated with vacation rentals and short-term lets, covering property damage and liability. They enhance standard home insurance policies by addressing common exclusions, such as guest-related damage.
This new partnership combines Prestige Underwriting’s expertise in non-standard home insurance, Pikl’s specialization in the vacation rental sector, and Aviva’s home insurance capabilities. It will enable the insurtech to handle a higher volume of business across a wider range of cases, including non-standard areas where Prestige specializes.
