Phil Powell, director at UK auto risk insurtech firm MatrixIQ, was among the speakers at Hartford’s forward-looking Insurance Capital summit this summer.
The firm is one of the many that is expanding in Hartford as part of the InsurTech Corridor program to forge links and nurture new insurtech solutions between companies in the UK and US.
Focusing on the theme of ‘Achieving Peak Performance in the Insurance Industry’, the event, held on 21 June at the Connecticut Convention Center, examined the transformative impact of technology on the industry.
“There is a new way of working and thinking, and the insurance industry has adapted well to the changes,” said event organizers from Connecticut Insurance and Financial Services.
“The evolution of insurance has accelerated at a rapid rate but how are insurers keeping pace and more importantly, how are they achieving the ultimate goal: long-term sustainability and enduring customer relationships?”
Delegates heard from some of the most prominent business leaders in the global insurance industry who shared their perspectives on the forces transforming insurance practice today.
