Previsico, a UK-based InsurTech Corridor participant specializing in real-time flood forecasting technology has secured additional funding in a round led by new investor Burnt Island Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in water innovation.
The investment, which will accelerate Previsico’s overall growth with a particular emphasis on expanding its presence in the US, includes participation from Foresight Capital Ventures and the company’s existing angel investor network.
Previsico’s solutions use advanced weather data, machine learning, and hydrological modelling to provide accurate, location-specific flood predictions, helping businesses, insurers, and governments take proactive measures to minimize flood damage.
Their technology is particularly valuable in the US where flood-related disasters cause billions in damages each year.
