Pikl are a leading European Insurtech, meeting the needs of the vacation rental industry, which has seen significant growth in the past 10 years. We use our knowledge of the industry to create specialised solutions which address some of the industries’ most significant commercial challenges. Our solutions improve customer experience for both hosts and owners, improve conversion rate and increase revenue. These include flexible cancellation, allowing Vacation Rental Managers and Online Travel Agents to ‘list like a hotel’. Alternatives to a traditional damage deposit, as part of a regulated scheme, and guest verification.
Meet the Company
Founded in 2019 by our CEO, Louise Birritteri, we’ve combined decades of experience across both insurance and the vacation rental industry to create a leading Insurtech for the sharing economy. Our roots are in Norwich, in the East of England, which has a rich heritage in the insurance industry with many of our team having worked at Aviva. Whilst other team members held prominent positions in the vacation rental industry in both commercial and tech. We employ over 30 staff and are entering a period of rapid growth.
Objective for the InsurTech Corridor
We are looking for insurers who may wish to join a quota share fronted by our existing capacity, to connect with businesses that could help us get set up and regulated, start our first recruitment and connect with investors. This will both accelerate our growth and establish ourselves in the US.
